ELMONT - Police have arrested an Elmont man for causing three crashes and injuring a mother and her daughter during a police pursuit. The crash ended on Hill and Rosser avenues in Elmont yesterday. Police say they tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle last night on Hempstead Turnpike when the driver took off.

According to investigators, the man hit a car with a mother and her 4-year-old daughter inside. Police arrested the unidentified 36-year-old, and are searching for his passengers who took off on foot. The mother and daughter suffered facial injuries, but are expected to be OK.
