MINEOLA - A mock funeral was held in Hempstead today to mourn budget cuts in Nassau County. Protesters gathered at the Hempstead Pentecostal Church today. They say they're upset about last month's service cuts to youth programs that impacted drug rehabilitation and after school tutoring. Participants then brought their procession past the county executive's office to the Supreme Court building in Mineola to register their complaints about cuts to youth services and programs they say affect nearly 50,000 at-risk youths.
