Mitt Romney arrives on LI for fundraising pit stop

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is on Long Island this evening to add some campaign cash to his war chest. Romney landed at MacArthur Airport

OLD BROOKVILLE - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is on Long Island this evening to add some campaign cash to his war chest. Romney landed at MacArthur Airport this afternoon before heading to Nassau for two campaign fundraisers.The first event is being held in an exclusive Old Brookville neighborhood on Piping Rock Road. There's a heavy police presence outside the mansion where the event is taking place, at the home of Elizabeth and Lee Ainslie. The event is a cocktail reception where guests are paying $2,500 a ticket. Photo sessions with Romney cost $10,000 per photo.Afterward, Romney will head to Muttontown for a photo reception and dinner that costs $25,000 per couple. VIP couples are shelling out $50,000 to spend time near Romney.It's the second fundraising stop Romney has made on Long Island this summer. Last time, he visited the Hamptons.
