MASSAPEQUA - The Long Islander who faked his own drowning off Jones Beach has pleaded not guilty to an unrelated case today.

Prosecutors say Raymond Roth was accused of kidnapping after being caught on camera posing as a police officer.

According to officials, Roth was trying to force at least one woman into his van in Freeport in March.

If convicted, Roth could go to prison for 15 years.

Earlier this year Roth pleaded guilty to faking his drowning in order to collect insurance money.
