SELDEN - The Miracle League of Long Island is a baseball program that empowers special needs kids.

At Miracle Field at Bald Hill, no wheelchair or disability will stop kids from showing just what they are made of.

News 12 first introduced you to the league four years ago when it began with just over 30 players and 30 volunteers. Since then there is over 200 families and over 1,000 volunteers.

Every child gets a turn at bat and every child gets a homerun with a chance to run all the bases. It’s just one of the ways the league helps build the children's confidence.

The Miracle League of Long Island is free to all members, and is funded by donations.

This September it is holding a fundraising walk to help keep it running.
