Medford shooting a shock 1 week after

MEDFORD - A week after four people were viciously gunned down in a Medford pharmacy, a deep feeling of shock and grief continues to hang over the community.

Suspected shooter David Laffer is on suicide watch at the Suffolk County Jail. Police say he walked into Haven Drugs last Sunday morning and killed 45-year-old Raymond Ferguson, 17-year-old Jennifer Mejia, 33-year-old Jaime Taccetta and 71-year-old Bryon Sheffield.

"It's just incomprehensible to think that somebody would do that," says Nick Bologna, of West Hempstead.

Prosecutors say a grand jury will convene on Monday to consider more serious charges against Laffer's wife, Melinda Brady, who has so far been charged with robbery. Policesearch for killer in Medford drug store massacrePolice:4 killed in apparent robbery at Medford pharmacy
