BROOKLYN - Mayor Bloomberg was on WOR radio saying that New Yorkers should "let the free marketplace decide" whether or not the city's bike program succeeds.

Critics have complained that the Citi Bike kiosks take up too much space on the streets. Others have concerns about ads posted on the stations.

Already, 9.000 people have signed up for the $95 annual memberships.

Day passes will be $9.95 and will go on sale June 2.
