LINDENHURST - An 85-year-old woman was killed after two cars collided in Lindenhurst Saturday afternoon.

Police say the vehicles collided at the corner of Straight Path and 47th Street around 1 p.m.

The victim, Marie Novak, was a passenger in one of the vehicles. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, where she later died.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were not consider life threatening.
