MANORVILLE - A Manorville 13-year-old reeled in what might be the biggest fluke caught on Long Island this season.

Allison Turbush caught the fish on the Bay Princess II while on a trip sponsored by the Suffolk County Police Athletic League. The fluke measured 33 ½ inches and weighed a whopping 14 pounds.

"She caught it herself and reeled it in herself,” says Suffolk Police Officer Terrence Buckley. “With minimum help from the mates, she managed to land it on the deck."

Next week, Allison will be on the cover of Long Island Fisherman.

The Suffolk County Police Athletic League will sponsor its last fishing trip of the summer next Wednesday.
