MANORVILLE - As crews begin to get a handle on the brush fires that have ripped through Ridge and Manorville, residents who were evacuated are starting to survey the damage done to their homes. The Moretti family tells News 12 Long Island that they were moments away from being engulfed in flames yesterday. They had started packing and preparing to evacuate when emergency crews told them to leave their home immediately. Within 20 minutes, the garage attached to their home had been reduced to a charred skeleton.
