MINEOLA - Nassau's county executive and his predecessor are being subpoenaed in the county's crime lab saga.

Newsday says both Ed Mangano and Tom Suozzi have been called in by the state inspector general investigating potentially botched testing at the police lab in Mineola.

The subpoenas are among more than 100 issued since the state investigation began last month.

Countless criminal convictions could end up being thrown out because mistakes were made at the lab.
