DIX HILLS - A Dix Hills man convicted of manslaughter and assault has been acquitted of the top charge of second-degree murder.

Charles Okonkwo Jr. was convicted after choking his 15-year-old brother to death and beating his mother.

Prosecutors have said Okonkwo was suffering from psychiatric issues.
