WOODBURY - A man serving a life sentence for killing a Long Island jeweler could get the death penalty.

Christopher DiMeo's trial started today for the alleged killing of a husband and a wife jeweler in Connecticut.

If convicted, DiMeo could get the death penalty.

In 2005, DiMeo was convicted of killing Glen Head jewelry store owner Thomas Renison.
