Man turns himself in after boat crash into jetty

Police say the man driving a boat that slammed into a jetty has turned himself in. Mark Tricarico surrendered to 5th Precinct officers Thursday afternoon.

PATCHOGUE - Police say the man driving a boat that slammed into a jetty has turned himself in.

Mark Tricarico surrendered to 5th Precinct officers Thursday afternoon.

As News 12 reported, a woman was injured when the Sea Ray crashed into the rocks at the entrance of the Patchogue River on Sunday.

The boat's passengers were found shortly after the crash, but not the operator.

The 31-year-old is accused of leaving the scene of a boating accident.

He will be arraigned at a later date.
