MONTAUK - A man is beginning his swim from Montauk to Staten Island today. 

Christopher Swain will swim 130 miles from Montauk Point to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. 

Swain says he wants to call attention to the illegal dumping of raw sewage into the New York waterways. 

Swain will spend four to six hours in the water per day and estimates he will reach New York City by November.
