NORTH AMITYVILLE - Police say a man was stabbed after a fight broke out during a party last night in North Amityville.

Police say the fight broke out just before 10 p.m. on Coolidge Avenue, where a party was being held to celebrate a wedding. During the fight, about 50 people spilled into the street.

A 32-year-old man was stabbed four or five times and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, police say. He's in stable condition today.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
