Man in surgical mask robs Lake Grove bank

Police are looking for the man who robbed a Lake Grove bank wearing a surgical mask on his face.

LAKE GROVE - Police are looking for the man who robbed a Lake Grove bank wearing a surgical mask on his face.

Detectives say the man walked into the TD Bank on Middle Country Road shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday and handed the teller note.

The suspect took off with the cash, and was last seen heading westbound on foot.

Police are trying to determine if the robbery is connected to another bank robbery in St. James on Sunday in which the suspect wore a construction dust mask.

The man behind the Lake Grove robbery is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt along with a green shirt and brown pants.
