WOODBURY - Suffolk County police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a man.

Police say 85-year-old Robert Hosking was struck at around 9 p.m. Friday, on Route 110 and West Lyons Street in Melville.

He was brought to the hospital with internal injuries and multiple fractures, and passed away this morning.

Police are searching for a green vehicle with damage to the passenger-side front end, side-view mirror and windshield.

Anyone with information is urged to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS.
