Police say the driver crashed into a tree in front of a home in Jamesport.

JAMESPORT - A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after crashing his pickup truck head-on into a tree in front of a Jamesport home.

Police say the driver drove up onto the lawn of a home on Main Road at around 7:30 p.m. and slammed into a tree, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

The driver was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center. There is no word yet on the extent of his injuries or what caused the crash.
