HICKSVILLE - A Canadian man pleaded not guilty Monday to murdering a teen at a wedding 16 years ago.
Balkumar Singh was in court facing second-degree murder charges for the shooting death of 19-year-old Abzul Kahn.
Singh allegedly opened fire outside a wedding reception after an argument at the Masonic Temple in Hicksville in 1999.

Police say the 37-year-old left the country and was on the run for 16 years until he was extradited from Trinidad to Nassau County last week.
Prosecutors say Singh was not easy to catch, even after being featured on "America's Most Wanted" in 2009. Authorities say he used multiple aliases, and spent time in Guyana and Canada. He was found living homeless in Trinidad.
A Nassau County detective who helped nab the suspect says Singh was relieved when he was picked up.
Singh is currently being held without bail.
