Man arrested for DWI in Shirley crash

Police say a man was arrested for DWI after his car crashed and flipped in Shirley. According to police, the unidentified man smashed his 2012

SHIRLEY -  Police say a man was arrested for DWI after his car crashed and flipped in Shirley.

According to police, the unidentified man smashed his 2012 Nissan Rogue into a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder around midnight.

The Pathfinder ended up on its side on Montauk Highway near Smith Road.

The woman driving the Pathfinder was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital with leg injuries.

The man was hurt too and was charged with DWI.

Montauk Highway is open this morning after being closed in both directions for hours.
