WOODBURY - A handyman accused of bludgeoning a Manhasset grandmother to death with a hammer pleaded guilty today. Authorities say Keith Land, 45, broke into the home of 64-year-old Ruthell Williams in Aug. 2009 and demanded jewelery. When she refused, officials say Land, who previously did work for her, repeatedly hit her in the head with a hammer. Williams died four months later from extensive brain injuries. Land faces 20 years to life behind bars when he is sentenced in June. AP wire services contributed to this report
