Man accused of stealing donations from N. Bellmore mosque

NORTH BELLMORE - A Queens man is under arrest after cops say they caught him in the act of stealing donations from a North Bellmore mosque.

Police say an employee of the Jaam'e Masjid Mosque on Newbridge Road saw Ahmad Saeed on a surveillance camera using a wire to pull cash out of a donation box.

Cops say the employee went to the mosque, stopped Saeed from leaving, and held him for police.

Investigators are now tying Saeed to last week's theft at the mosque.
