MINEOLA - A Merrick man accused of stabbing a young boy at an arcade was sentenced to 14 years in prison this morning.

According to investigators, Evan Sachs stabbed the 8-year-old in the back five times at the Westbury Dave and Busters last October. They say he had spent weeks looking for an opportunity to attack a child.

Sachs had agreed to a plea deal in July and was sentenced on attempted murder charges.
