UNIONDALE - A man and a woman are recovering after police say they were intentionally hit by a car in Uniondale last night.

Police say 33-year-old Oscar Santos was driving on Midland Street at around 11 p.m. when he spotted his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend walking with a man.

According to investigators, Santos backed into the pair on the front lawn of a home, where skidmarks are still visibile. The teen suffered a broken ankle and the male victim suffered sprained knees.

Santos was arrested and faces assault charges.
