GLEN COVE - An ex-convict pleaded not guilty today to murdering his Glen Cove neighbor.

Authorities say Edward Brown killed his neighbor, 56-year-old Nunzio Izzo, who had been missing since Dec. 17. Prosecutors say Brown tried to sell the missing man's jewelry at a pawn shop, then confessed to the murder and led police to the body.

Records show Brown served time on drug charges.
