Man accused of framing ex-girlfriend back in court

QUEENS - A Queens man accused of framing his ex-girlfriend was back in court today, attempting to get out on bail.

Jerry Ramrattan ended up behind bars for allegedly setting up an elaborate plot to get back at Seemona Sumasar. He's accused of paying off witnesses to lie to police and a grand jury, saying that Sumasar posed as a police officer to rob people at gunpoint in Nassau County.

Sumasar spent seven months behind bars before being released. She claims Ramrattan made up the story because he raped her and she had planned to testify against him.

In court today, a judge decided to combine all the charges against Ramrattan, including rape.
