WEST ISLIP - An East Islip man is accused of taking a cab in an attempt to rob two banks.

Police say Clenzo Thompson took a taxi to Bank of America in Central Islip and used a note to demand cash.

According to police, the teller wouldn't comply so Thompson got back in the cab and asked the driver to go to TD Bank in East Islip. This time he was given cash.

Police say by the time Thompson got back in the car, they caught him with the help of the cab company's GPS on the car.

Police say Thompson is on parole for robbing a cab driver in Medford in 2008.
