NORTH BABYLON - Police say they have arrested a Dix Hills man for photographing a minor in a bathroom at a North Babylon restaurant earlier this month.

Police say Luis Flores Jr., 28, leaned over a bathroom stall and took cellphone photos of an 8-year-old boy at Hibachi Grill, located at 1114 Deer Park Ave., on May 17.

"When the youth was in the stall, he noticed that a hand was reaching over and saw the flash from the cellphone camera," says Suffolk Police Detective Lt. Robert Edwards.

Detectives say the boy immediately told his parents what he saw.

Detectives arrested Flores at his residence Thursday after receiving numerous Crime Stoppers tips regarding the suspect's identity.

Edwards says surveillance shows that Flores returned to his table and continued with his meal after taking the photos.

Flores was charged with unlawful surveillance.
