WOODBURY - A News 12/Hofstra poll found that Long Islanders are mixed on whether or not they believe New Jersey-based PSEG will do a better job than LIPA.

As of Jan. 1, PSEG will take over LIPA's electric operations, including its customer service.

The poll found that 29 percent of the people asked said they think the new company will do a better job than LIPA. Only 7 percent think PSEG will do worse. About 38 percent think PSEG will be about the same.
