QUEENS - Some lucky Long Islanders were in Queens today for a lottery party to pick up their share of some big winnings. Giant checks totaling $19 million were awarded to several winners today at the Resorts World Casino in Queens. Among the winners was a deli owner from Plainview who won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket, and a mail house supervisor from Hicksville who won $1 million from a Sweet Million drawing. A freight company employee from Lindenhurst also won a $1 million prize on the Ruby Red scratch-off game. The big winners of the day were a pair of "lotto buddies" from New Jersey and Manhattan who have played together for years. They won $14 million.
