WOODBURY - Many Long Islanders are crossing their fingers for a warm spring after this month's massive snowstorm. News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman says that their wish may be granted.

Although the area's been hit with brutal snow lately, the average temperature on the island this winter has been above normal. Some forecasters predict that trend will continue.

The official start of spring is just one month away.
