JERICHO - Long Island parents are shaken up after a shooting rampage in Connecticut left 20 children dead.

Parents at George A. Jackson Elementary School in Jericho Friday told News 12 Long Island that the tragedy horrified them and made them worry for the safety of their children.

Ali Abbas was among the parents heartbroken by the shooting. He says he left his job in Manhattan and picked up his two sons from school early just to give them a hug and tell them he loves them.
