HAUPPAUGE - Long Island's military veterans are getting some help with finding employment.

Long Island Cares in Hauppauge is announcing a new guidebook that aims to teach veterans how to create successful resumes and cover letters, translating their military experience into skills for the job market.

Long Island Cares has a VetsWork program. Paule Pachter, the CEO of Long Island Cares, says the program has helped 19 veterans find jobs in the last year.
