Long Beach increases some city fees

The City of Long Beach has increased some of its fees, leaving many residents annoyed, especially those still recovering from Sandy.

The city has raised garbage collection fees to $575 a year. Parking permits have also been increased from $10 to $50 in three of the overnight parking lots.

A new category has also been added for water usage, with residents using between 12,000 and 150,000...
