LONG BEACH - For the first time since Superstorm Sandy, the Long Beach Cinema is playing movies.

The storm severely damaged the movie theater and much of the surrounding city of Long Beach two years ago. The entire community has been rebuilding ever since.

Residents say the refinished cinema is a sign that things are returning to normal.

The cinema held its soft opening this week. The official grand reopening is scheduled for next Friday.
