BABYLON - The Long Island Rail Road had almost all of its branches up and running today.

As of today, the LIRR is operating 10 of its 11 branches on a weekday schedule.

Officials say 19 of the LIRR's 143 morning rush hours trains were canceled or diverted to another terminal. A total of 23 evening rush hour trains were also canceled.

Train service on the Long Beach Branch remains suspended with weekday bus service operating beginning at 5 a.m. between Long Beach and Lynbrook, where train connections can be made.
