WOODBURY - Gov. Andrew Cuomo today announced the Long Island Rail Road will begin operating full morning and evening rush hour service, effective Monday.

The LIRR will resume normal service for the first time since Sandy hit now that Amtrak has restored the signal system capacity in one of its East River tunnels.

The LIRR's off-peak service continues to operate on a regular schedule.
