LIRR strike could throw reverse commuters off track

WOODBURY - If the LIRR unions strike, commuters who reverse commute to Long Island could be stuck with no options.      

The LIRR has made contingency plans for commuters into New York, but if you are a reverse commuter you are out of luck.

Officials say there are no official options for riders who use the rails to commute from New York City to their jobs on Long Island.

Long Islanders who live in the city and commute to the area for work say they are scrambling to find somewhere to stay during the strike because they have no car.
