WOODBURY - Some Long Island Rail Road riders took their displeasure to Twitter in a bid to publicly shame officials into improving conditions.

They're using the hashtag #WeDeserveBetter on social media posts complaining about problems ranging from delayed or crowded trains to spilled drinks on the floors.

Organizers say that there are many commuters who have a problem with the LIRR. They want the hashtag to help unify them.

Larry Rubinstein, vice chairman of the LIRR Commuter Council, says he plans to bring up the hashtag at the next MTA meeting.
