LIRR restores limited service on 7 branches

The LIRR has restored limited service on seven branches following a systemwide suspension caused by Sunday's blizzard.Service has been restored on the Babylon, Port Jefferson,

WOODBURY - The LIRR has restored limited service on seven branches following a systemwide suspension caused by Sunday's blizzard.

Service has been restored on the Babylon, Port Jefferson, Port Washington, Ronkonkoma, Oyster Bay and Long Beach branches. The LIRR is running hourly on these branches.

Hourly service has been restored to and from Huntington on the Port Jefferson branch.

LIRR service between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica has been restored on a very limited basis. At this time, a train will operate to and from Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica every 70 minutes.

Officials say ?scoot service? on the Port Jefferson line will be provided between Huntington and Port Jefferson.
