WOODBURY - The Long Island Rail Road is now operating on a near-normal weekend schedule on most branches.

According to the LIRR, weekend service has been restored on the Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson (west of Huntington), Babylon, Port Washington, Far Rockaway, Long Beach, Hempstead and Oyster Bay branches.

However, the LIRR will not run east of Ronkonkoma, Babylon or Huntington, and riders are being advised to expect delays and cancellations.

Crews are continuing to clear snow off the tracks and repair third rail icing in the wake of the blizzard.
