WOODBURY - Long Island Railroad is rolling out a new pledge to its customers following months of complaints.

The plan promises "accurate and timely information" during a problem including emails and platform announcements.

The LIRR still plans to suspend trains if there is 10 inches of snow on the ground.

According to the LIRR, it promises better communication to let you "know before you go."

It also pledges to evacuate passengers when a train becomes stranded. LIRR
