WOODBURY - The Long Island Rail Road is getting graded on its service.

A new poll shows 29 percent of residents want the railroad to improve on-time performance. And 28 percent want the LIRR to keep riders better informed about service problems.

Nearly half of those polled rate service as good or excellent; 10% rate it as "poor."

The Newsday/Siena Poll questioned 800 Long Islanders this month.
