WOODBURY - ? LIPA is promising its customers it will communicate better after complaints poured in from angry customers who lost service during Hurricane Irene. LIPA promised Suffolk lawmakers that it will review how it handled outages, according to Newsday.

The company admits customers complained they could not find out when their power would be restored. LIPA officials appeared before a Suffolk County public safety meeting yesterday.
