LONG BEACH - LIPA officials say there are new problems for thousands of customers.

LIPA?s Long Beach substation has reported weather-related equipment failures.

Officials say nearly 11,000 customers lost power just before 7 a.m.

The failure happened just as the blizzard-related outages dropped into the hundreds.

The company has been working to re-route the power and fix the problem.
