WOODBURY - Actress Lindsay Lohan has rejected a plea deal in the necklace theft case that included a guaranteed return to jail.The Merrick native accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a California store told a judge she agreed to delaying her case until a preliminary hearing when prosecutors will present evidence against her.The case will be set for a preliminary hearing April 22.A judge warned the actress that any plea would come with prison time. The owners of the jewelry store say they will auction off the necklace at the heart of the case for charity.Associated Press reports contributed to this article.
