RIVERHEAD - A Lindenhurst woman pleaded guilty today to driving drunk and high on drugs, and getting into an accident that killed her best friend back in 2010.

According to prosecutors, Angela Commisso was high and drunk with a suspended license from a prior DWI when she crashed into a utility pole on Montauk Highway, killing 23-year-old Jenny Daprino, of Bay Shore.

Family members say Commisso initially lied to police about being the driver on the night of the accident. She was arrested and charged months later.

Commisso is facing up to three and a half to 10 and a half years in prison.  She is expected to be sentenced on Nov. 29.
