MANHATTAN - The lights will go down on Broadway tonight in memory of Marvin Hamlisch. The prolific composer and former Massapequa resident died Monday in Los Angeles. He had been sick for a short time. Hamlisch wrote over 40 movie scores including "The Sting" and for Broadway's "A Chorus Line."
Hamlisch is one of only two people to ever win an Oscar, a Grammy, an Emmy, a Tony and Pulitzer prize. Hamlisch was 68 years old.
