BELLPORT

Police are searching for the suspects who made off with hundreds of dollars in cash and gift cards from the Lighthouse Mission in Bellport.
 
Police believe the thieves broke into the mission by smashing the glass in the back door and Pastor Jim Ryan thinks the non-profit's safe was pried open with a shovel.
 
Pastor Ryan says around $600 was stolen, along with hundreds of dollars in gift cards from Walmart and Toys "R" Us, which was all going to be used to buy toys for needy families.
